Maybe you have been a coach, a teacher, a parent, or someone who has been on a corporate treadmill and is looking to slow down and do something more meaningful.

As a DSP and Job Coach you will be actively integrated into the South County, RI community. Working with clients, businesses, and an experienced team, your days will include making an impact on clients whose goals include independence, employment, and empowerment.

Our clients are eager to learn from your experiences, and we offer flexible hours and scheduling based on your time availability.
​
Commit to a minimum of 8 hours per week for part-time or come work with us full time.

Direct Support Professional
(for current college students)
At HDC, our clients are goal driven, curious, and social. They may live on their own or have goals to do so.
You are the coach, mentor, and advocate.
You will support them with their day to day independent living skills, employment coaching and retention, and health and fitness routines (which are good for you too!)
You will also work as an important part of a team that provides increased group social opportunities, building relationships that they will value.
For students, we offer part time work and internship programs that accommodate your schedule and further develop the soft skills that will prepare you for your career path.

Our work is person centered, so you will learn how to listen, motivate, communicate, manage emotions and nervous systems and build support for the variety of individuals you serve.
​
Pay is $20/hr while in school + mileage reimbursement with opportunities for advancement after graduation.
